Soragna nails a seventeen footer with 2´´ left, lifts Italy past Czech Republic, who had taken the lead thanks to Benda´s layup with less than a minute to go. Belinelli scored 19 for Italy, but left the game with two unsportsmanlike fouls. Slezak had 12 but missed the game-winner shot at the buzzer. Benda added 10 for Czech Republic. Italy will play against Sweden and Czech Republic against Senegal in the Gianatti tournament´s opener on Thursday.
